The Goblin Horde and the Curious Case of Giant Movement Trays

The other day, a fellow gamer reached out with a request that was equal parts intriguing and slightly baffling: “Can you make movement trays, but big? Like, ‘hold-my-ale-and-watch-this’ big?” Now, I’m no stranger to designing terrain trays—I’ve made adapter trays for everything from “normal-sized” 5×3 formations to oval bases that prove Games Workshop might need to revisit basic geometry—but even I paused to ponder what kind of mad genius would need a tray that’s 10 wide by 5 rows deep.

Turns out, it’s Goblins. Lots and lots of Goblins, accompanied by their beefy, battle-hardened buddies, the Ogres. Now, I’ve barely dipped my toes into The Old World, but even a rookie knows that when Goblins gather, they don’t come small. They come by the hundreds, and apparently, they prefer to march in formations roughly the size of Delaware.

So, after firing up the 3D printer and chugging more coffee than is strictly advisable, I delivered trays fit for Goblin hordes and Ogre packs alike. I even discovered that my new 3×3 trays for 50mm bases coincidentally matched the 6×6 trays for 25mm bases already on offer—saving me time, filament, and at least half my sanity.

Here’s the point: if you don’t see the adapter or movement tray you’re dreaming of in my store, don’t hesitate—just ask. Odds are, your suggestion will end up in the lineup faster than you can say “Goblin horde,” and you’ll score yourself a 30% discount for your trouble. Consider it a thank-you for helping me keep the shop a step ahead of the chaos.

Until next time, keep gaming, keep suggesting, and watch out for Ogres—they never skip leg day.
